'Feed Groupmate' persisting post-death, -relog, and -switch + allowing for ungrouped tracking

Description

I'm adding my experience with this recent bug to the existing reports, because I've noticed it can be used to track a player's location (although limited) when ungrouped, which to my knowledge has not been described thus far. The 'Feed Groupmate' quest indicator tracking a groupmate's character will persist after death, a full logout (safelog, hardlog, disconnect), or a playable switch. When the affected party returns to the same playable used to trigger the bug via logout/dc, you can ungroup with them and track their movements in real time, because the indicator follows their body so long as they are in render distance.
My friend dc'd while she had the ongoing Feed quest – the marker persisted on her dinosaur even when the server officially kicked her i.e. we ungrouped. The quest no longer showed up in the quest sidebar upon regrouping, and we could not remove the indicator via feeding her. I then reproduced this bug repeatedly utilizing different playables of different diets.

Outcomes

Observed Result

The affected player relogging on the same character makes the indicator follow them on the unaffected party’s end even when ungrouped; the indicator freezes indefinitely when moving out of render distance of them. The affected player dying/logging & switching to a different character makes the marker freeze where they died/logged, for both parties. The marker remains in place for the unaffected party if the unaffected party relogs. Dying as the affected player makes the indicator get frozen in place for both parties. Starving naturally as the affected player makes the indicator behave as intended for the unaffected player(s) – starved player will have a frozen indicator where they died. Can be done multiple times on the same server to clutter the screen with multiple frozen indicators; server-hopping fixes persisting indicators.
This has been attempted on all maps; Riparia & Gondwa proved consistent results. Panjura refused to trigger the quest in the first place, we were unable to test properly.

Expected Result

The 'Feed Groupmate' quest indicator should not persist after a death or logout from either party.

Steps to Reproduce

1

Log into server and group up with another person

2

Trigger ‘Feed Groupmate’ quest

3

Experiment with conditions – anything but starving naturally will trigger the bug consistently
